We figured not everyone knows our story, so we’ve been throwing it back and posting super short blogs here in chronological order so you can get a sense of who we are, why we sold everything to travel the world, as well as see some of the places we went. Follow along!
Story 9️⃣: We were beyond excited to finally be off on our adventure and Tahoe was the perfect place to start!!
Story 8️⃣: Liesel’s face as we prepared to leave San Francisco pretty much summed it up for the whole family 😭
Story 7️⃣: “So, what the heck are we doing?” This is a question that we asked ourselves daily…and still ask. We still second-guess our decision to walk away from the tenured corporate jobs, cozy home, and breathtaking beauty of Northern California.
Story 6️⃣: By January 2018, we had a plan. We had told our families that we would be leaving our jobs, traveling for a bit, and eventually relocating to the Midwest to be closer to all of them.
Story 5️⃣: Has a trip ever changed your perspective or inspired a big life change? ✈️ A visit to Maui in October 2017 did it for us.
Story 4️⃣: I don’t know what to say about Tahoe that I haven’t said a million times already. Tahoe is hands-down 💯. It gets all our 😍😍 emojis and is our happiest of happy places.
Last week we shared Liesel’s arrival into the 🌎 and now we’re moving on to our first vacation as a family of 3, the Big Island, Hawaii in March 2017🏝

Story 🔟: If you’ve been following us for a while you’ve surely heard us rant about our obsession with Lake Tahoe. It used to be our weekend getaway from SF and we spent the 1st month of our ‘around the world’ trip there.
